A balanced daily program combining learning and play

Children 18 months – 5 years

7:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Arrival and free play (choice of games from learning zones: blocks, dolls, cars, books, coloring, etc.)

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Hand washing, optional breakfast, toileting

9:00 AM – 9:15 AM: Circle time/Chat

9:15 AM – 9:30 AM: Toileting, hand washing, snack – fruit

9:30 AM – 11:15 AM: Outdoor activities and/or workshops, planned activities (themed activities planned at the start of the school year; workshops chosen by children based on interests: painting, modeling, crafts, cooking, etc.; daily outdoor play)

11:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Tidy up toys

11:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Hand washing, toileting, lunch, preparation for nap

1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Reading time, nap time, sleep

3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Toileting, hand washing, snack

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Workshops and/or outdoor activities

4:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Free play

5:30 PM: Daycare closes

Infants (Poupons)

7:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Welcoming infants and parents, free play

8:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Nap (for some babies)

9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Preparation for snack, snack – fruit

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Preparation for activities, diaper change (sunscreen, dressing...)

10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Outdoor and/or indoor activities (activities planned according to each child's rhythm and abilities; daily outdoor play for gross motor skill development; free play with exploration, discovery, manipulation, songs, rhymes, obstacle courses; experimental activities)

11:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Preparation for lunch (diaper change, hand washing)

11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Lunch

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Hand washing, diaper and/or clothing changes, preparation for nap

1:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Nap

2:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Gradual wake-up, diaper changes, hand washing

3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Snack

3:30 PM – 5:30 PM: Free play / outdoor activities, gradual departure of infants

5:30 PM: Daycare closes
Note: The schedule may be adapted to respect children's individual rhythms. Routine activities are done regularly based on each child's needs.
